Macon County Economic Development Corp. has acquired 150 acres off Hwy 36E in Macon and developed Heartland Industrial Park. The new Industrial Park has been platted and utilities are on site with some roads completed. This new Industrial Park is near the junction of Hwy 36 & 63 and a very inviting location for new businesses and industries.

Macon also offers local incentives such as a Revolving Loan Fund which can provide a company with up to $250,000 in financing for up to ten years. This innovative long term financing tool allows the city to match a company's investment in the community with a low interest loan based on the prime rate. Businesses may also qualify for other state, regional and local loans.
